IPS d.Sign®

d.SIGN® has a unique combination of Fluorapatite and Leucite crystals that imitate the optical properties of natural teeth, dispersing light throughout the material in a manner similar to natural dentition. Now the technician can go beyond the limitations of traditional porcelains and achieve the ultimate combination of bright colors and high translucency without adding conventional opacifying agents. In addition to increased brightness and brilliance, this strikingly esthetic glass ceramic offers enhanced stability of shade and true-to-nature fluorescence. This patented formula is unlike any feldspathic porcelain ever produced because it replicates the shape of the needle-like hydroxy-apatite crystals found in natural tooth structure.

Restorations by Dr. Robert Winter

It's not the same old porcelain! It's "Fluorapatite-Leucite Glass-Ceramic"... a patented formula which replicates the crystals found in natural dentition and the way it disperses light...is astounding!

Revolutionary Material
IPS d.SIGN® is a revolutionary new glass-ceramic-fused-to-metal system featuring a patented new "Fluorapatite-Leucite Glass-Ceramic" with six matched alloys. This patented formula is unlike any feldspathic porcelain ever produced because it replicates the shape of the needle-like hydroxyapatite crystals found in natural tooth structure.

These SEM photos show the similarity of crystals found in natural tooth structure and new IPS d.SIGN® Fluorapatite-Leucite material. This type of crystal is not found in feldspathic porcelain. University of Buffalo, Instrumentation Center, P. Bush. Data on file.

Revolutionary Esthetics
IPS d.SIGN® has a unique combination of Fluorapatite and Leucite crystals that imitate the optical properties of natural teeth, dispersing light throughout the material in a manner similar to natural dentition. Now the technician can go beyond the limitations of traditional porcelains and achieve the ultimate combination of bright colors (a high degree of luminous reflectance) and high translucency (transmission of light) without adding conventional opacifying agents. In addition to this increased brightness and brilliance, this strikingly aesthetic glass-ceramic offers enhanced stability of shade and true-to-nature fluorescence.

Revolutionary Wear Characteristics
IPS d.SIGN® offers superior wear characteristics similar to enamel.
