Digital technology is transforming dentistry. Precision Dental Restoration is equipped to receive and use digital impressions with the Cadent iTero system.

The intra oral scanner captures a 3-D image of the prepared tooth area. With each scan, the software captures 1,000 data points in the patient’s mouth. This eliminates the inaccuracies and discomfort of traditional tray and putty impressions.

The imaging software used allows the doctor to evaluate the prepared area. If any adjustments need to be made, this is determined while the patient is still in the chair. This imaging is an effective tool for any case, from the single crown, to abridge or full arch.

Once the case is approved by the dentist, the digital image is transferred to PDR, a Cadent partnering lab.

PDR evaluates and accepts the scan. As the model work is being milled, the full contour wax-print and substructure are designed and fabricated.

Within three to four business days, PDR receives the model work for the final phase. PDR completes the final fit, contour and shading to deliver a highly aesthetic restoration.

PDR now offers a denture for the aesthetically sensitive patient. Teeth are carefully selected for the patient and set up with esthetic principals.

The tissue is lifelike, characterized with different shades of acrylic. See photos.

This case was completed with Dr. Milton Noveck of New Jersey. The patient was very pleased with the final result. Great results can be achieved even if your patient is edentulous.

Although there is a small fee for the aesthetic denture, patient acceptance makes the investment worthwhile.
